STILLWATER, Okla. (KOKH) — Officers from several law enforcement agencies met up to complete the "Murph Workout" today.

The "Murph" was one of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy's favorite workouts.

Murphy was killed in Afghanistan on June 28th, 2005, and was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor after his death.

On the day of his death Lt. Murphy and three fellow SEALs engaged in a firefight with the Taliban and were outnumbered.

Murphy made a last-ditch effort to save his team and pulled out his satellite phone, walked into a clearing, and called for reinforcements as he was shot at several times.

One bullet hit Lt. Murphy but he was able to finish the call and continue fighting with his team.

Murphy and two other SEALS, Danny Dietz and Matthew Axelson, along with 16 U.S. Special Operations soldiers were killed.

The Murph workout is done with a 20-pound weighted vest:
1 Mile Run
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Squats
1 Mile Run

Officers that completed the workout today were from the Payne County Sheriff’s Office, OSUPD, OSBI, and Stillwater police.
